Last Thursday, some very talented Coppetts Wood musicians took to the stage to perform as part of their termly Rock Steady concert. Pupils performed to the whole school, with their band or as a soloist, demonstrating their super keyboard and drumming skills.
Very well done Vinnie, Alessandro, Eric, Maksym, Matthew and Alex - super performances!
Thank you to the parents and carers who joined our 'Come Dine with Me' event on Tuesday and for your positive comments about the food provided. Your questions and feedback for Jack, our chef, are much appreciated and invaluable in helping us to shape our menu and encourage as many pupils as possible, to eat the school lunch. We will take your suggestions and recommendations onboard, to ensure that we meet the needs of your child.
We are growing our therapeutic provision, at Coppetts Wood, and now offer art and play therapy to pupils across the school. We have a limited number of places, including for children under five years old, and can make direct referrals for Coppetts Wood pupils, offering up to two terms of support for individual children. There is an increasing need to provide therapeutic support for primary age pupils and this support, as well as our Forest School provision, is an essential part of our school offer which we hope to develop and expand upon, in the coming year.
On Wednesday, pupils in Key Stage 2 took part in drama workshops, led by Unique Community, to develop their empathy and critical thinking skills. In their classes, pupils engaged well in the interactive sessions that focused on community issues affecting today's society, such as social media, the cost of living and migration.
Pupils in Year 6 have begun preparation for their End of Key Stage Two SATS. Breakfast booster sessions have taken place this week and will continue every Monday to Thursday after Easter until SATS week which takes place May 12th - 15th, 2025.
After Easter, Mr Lopes, our sports coach, will be working with pupils at break and lunchtime - twice a week - to continue to develop our PE provision. He will be organising practice sessions, developing skills and supporting team games. Yes.... football is back!
Our summer term clubs list is available on our school website - places still available for some clubs.
Wishing you a restful Easter break.
Reminder - term begins on April 22nd, 2025.
